When it comes to individual style and preference, there’s a whole world of hardwood flooring options to choose from. Sometimes, though, budget takes precedence. That’s why we want to showcase some of the beautiful finished projects from customers who bought our unfinished #3 Common (utility grade) flooring.
It takes a bit more patience and elbow grease to cull through and install, but this ¾″ thick, solid red or white oak comes in widths from 2¼″ all the way up to 8″, and can make a stunning, rustic addition to any room.
Mix widths or keep them all the same size. The rock-bottom price allows for a higher waste factor, so you can cherry-pick your pieces. Boards run up to 7 ft long with about an 18″ or better average, which means a fair number of shorter boards, as well as knotholes (some open or pocket knots), splits, saw marks, missing tongues and other rustic character.
The photos below are from customers who bought our rustic oak flooring and pulled out less than 15% waste overall. Some folks choose to take out more. It all depends on your personal preference and design aesthetic.
